Robin Roberts Touches On Her Triple Negative Breast Cancer In Good Housekeeping's Interview

Excerpt from interview:"...Robin's cancer was found to be triple-negative, meaning it wouldn't respond to certain treatments; such cancer is generally treated through surgery, chemotherapy, and/or radiation (all of which she underwent). She was told she wouldn't get what many other survivors look forward to in five to seven years without a recurrence: a proclamation of "all clear."

On May 31, 2012, Robin Roberts will be honored at the annual Peace, Love and a Cure fundraising event through the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation.
